JOBSON, ROBERT WILLIAM – Of Burton, age 97, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Hampton Manor of Burton.
Funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1-4pm and 5-8pm on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 and 10am Thursday until the time of service at the funeral home.
Burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on April 22, 1928, the son of the late William and Leona (Winter) Jobson.
He married Dorothy Ruth Balius on May 13, 2004, at Bethel Assembly of God.
Robert served 23 years of miliary service. He was a deacon and board member of his church and bowled 4 days a week. He traveled and saw many things and places.
He loved to tell jokes, fishing and hunting were all among his many pleasures.
Robert is survived by Daughter, Linda Marks of Colorado Springs, Colorado;
Stepdaughter, Margaret Coon of Byron, Michigan;
Stepson, William Healy of Illinois;
Stepdaughter, Deborah R. Kasoff (David) of Swampscott, Massachusetts;
Stepdaughter, Denise Arndt (Randy) of Benzonia, Michigan;
Stepson, Brian E. Balius of Curran, Michigan;
Stepson, Paul Balius (Charisse) of Kimball, Michigan;
Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren;
Siblings, Pat Mascio (Donna) of Swartz Creek, Michigan, Carl Mascio of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Tony Mascio of Davison, Michigan and Esther Marie McDaniel (David) of Linden, Michigan. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Marion E. Jobson (Carlson), his second wife Ruby E. Jobson (Healy), his third wife Dorothy Ruth Jobson, son, Robert William Jobson Jr., daughter in law Michelle Balius, his parents, William and Leona Jobson, stepson, Jerry Healy, brother, Roy Jobson and brother and sister in law Jim & Pamela Mascio.
