ROBBINS, Hazel (Mitchell) nee Tennant – age 78, was peacefully promoted to glory on September 8, 2014 at Lake Wales Medical Center, Lake Wales, Florida. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 700 Columbia Drive, Durand, Michigan with Fr. Jeff Poll officiating. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc where the Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday. Visitation at church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday. Following Hazel’s wishes cremation will take place after the funeral and her final resting place will be at Pine Grove Cemetery. Hazel was born October 12, 1935 to Richard and Edith Tennant. She married William (Bill) Robbins on February 21, 2009. They resided at Leisure Lake, Durand, Michigan during the summer months and spent the winter months at Lake Wales, Florida. She loved going to rummage sales and fishing at Leisure Lake. Surviving are: husband, William Robbins; children, Larry (Donna) Mitchell of Richmond, KY, Laura (Brian) McGovern of Flint, Ruth (Rocky) Lasley of Flint and Edith Mitchell of Romulus; step-children, David Robbins, Terry (Debbie) Robbins, Connie Hoolhan, Laurie (Tracy) Fahr, Shelly Hardy; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Graham; several nieces and nephews. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ralph Mitchell; 3 brothers, Richard, William and Douglas Tennant; 5 sisters, Claudia Stevenson, Bessie Wilson, Doris Davis, Pauline Tennant, and Peggy Tomlinson; and by granddaughter, Jennifer Mitchell.
