ROBINSON, Dorothy L. – of Flint, age 97, passed away October 27, 2015 at Cranberry Park Assisted Living. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Chaplain Steve Hiller officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the Humane Society of Genesee County or Heartland Hospice.
Dorothy was born in Flint, MI on May 26, 1918, daughter of the late Will and Mary (Eichenroth) Johnson. She married Lorne M. Robinson on January 25, 1941 and he preceded her in death on June 8, 1953. Dorothy loved cats, crocheting, gardening, crossword puzzles, reading and was a talented artist with oil paints.
Dorothy is survived by her granddaughters, Lisa (Thom) Long of NY, Jennifer (Jeremy) Martin of LA; great-grandkids, Christopher Halverson, Cole Martin and Camille Martin; sister, Martha Roughton; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Johnson and Helen Madison; adored niece, Lynda Johnson; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughters, Barbara Lynn Robinson, Marilyn J. Murphy and Lori J. Bradovich; several brothers and sisters.
