NORRIS, Thomas – of Lapeer, Michigan, age 62, passed away on December 19, 2025. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 2-5 PM, for close family and friends, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Michigan 48423. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lapeer Moose Lodge #2433 in Lapeer, MI.
Thomas was born on February 25, 1963, in Flint, Michigan, to Thomas and Janet (Roberson) Norris. He was also raised by his stepfather, Gary, who played an important role in his upbringing. Tom married Belinda Griffus on August 25, 1984. Together, they had a son, Seth, and a daughter, Erin. The two later divorced. Tom began his career at DuPont in 1988, where he worked until 2004. He later continued his working life in the automotive industry with General Motors and Stellantis, remaining there until the time of his death. Tom enjoyed being on his motorcycle whenever he had the chance. Time on the road allowed him to live life on his own terms. He also enjoyed snowmobiling trips in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with his family and deer hunting in the fall. His hard work and drive to succeed will live on through those who knew him. Tom spent many evenings with his fiancée, Teresa, laughing and enjoying themselves with friends at the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Moose Lodge, where he will be missed by many.
Tom is survived by his son, Seth (Melody) Norris; daughter, Erin (Tyler) Bitters; stepfather, Gary Roberson; brother, Charles (Dorothy) Norris; step-siblings, Shelly (Dennis) Dittenber, Scott (Donna) Roberson, and Chris (Candi) Roberson; grandchildren, Mason and Brennyn, fiancée, Teresa Matthews, as well as many others who loved and cared for him. Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Roberson, and his father, Thomas Norris.
