Steen, Nancy K. of Flushing, age 81, died Friday, March 15, 2019, at Heartland-Fostrian. A memorial gathering will be 4-9 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Rossell Funeral Home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Genesee County Humane Society.
Nancy was born in Flint, Michigan on October 1, 1937, the daughter of Arza and Theona (Hall) Loomis, Sr. She enjoyed many crafts and owned and operated her own craft store, We Bee Country. Nancy was a talented seamstress who enjoyed making clothes, including doll clothes. She was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles, crossword puzzles and spending time camping.
She is survived by her children, Rich Steen, Colette Nicol, Dru (Rick McKone) Steen; grandchildren, Tara Sherman, Madisyn Nicol, Paige Nicol, Danny Nicol, Keegan Nicol, Jade Steen-McKone, and Jewel Steen-McKone. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Arza Loomis Jr. and Douglas Loomis.
