Mr. Jerry Edward Cavette, 78 of Flint passed away in death at Ascension Genesys Hospital. July 23, 2021. Jerry grew up in Macon, Mississippi. One of 7 children, Jerry acquired a few nick-names growing up. His mother called him Boyer, other name included; Boham and Bo. He was also called the water-dog because he was a fast and strong swimmer. He graduated from Macon High school in 1961, and moved to Flint, Michigan, where he met his wife of 52 years, from this marriage was born 2 children, a daughter Ida and son Jeffery. Jerry was an outdoorsman; he loved to fish, hunt, and run his dogs. He also worked in construction forming his own company. The son of Noah Hawkins and Frankie Lee (Dunn) Cavett. He is survived by his wife Joann, daughter Ida, (Ernest) Johnson, son Jeffrey, and 2 grandchildren Julian and Joanna Johnson. His sister's Nora (Fred) Turner of Atlanta, GA, Annie Laura Cavette of St. Louis, MO, Queene Ella Cavette of New York, and his brother Robert Earl Cavette, along with many nephews and nieces. A special thanks to his niece Felita Cavette. Jerry was preceded in death by father Noah Hawkins, mother Frankie Lee, brother Frank Elliott, sister-in-law Charlotte, and Richard Dunn, sister-in-law Kathryn. Thanks to all!
