BRITT, Carol Ann – of Montrose, age 75, died -Monday, September 12, 2016 at McLaren of Flint. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, September 16, 2016 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Kevin Miles officiating. Cremation to follow. Inurnment will be in Montrose Township Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8PM and on Friday from 10AM until time of services at 11AM. Contributions may be made to the Montrose Community Schools.
Carol was born October 11, 1940 in Flint to the late John and Dorothy (Kapp) Newcomer. She was a Montrose resident her entire life. Carol was united in marriage to Dorian Britt on May 29, 1993. She and Dorian spent all of their time together. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's' sporting events, and watching Rev Joel Osteen and Fr. Cedrick Pisegna on TV.
Surviving are: Husband, Dorian; Children: Cathy Paige (fiancé Jim Freeman) of Lake Orion, Rick (Debbie) Clolinger of Swartz Creek, Paul (Amy) Clolinger of Davison, Michael (Mary Grace) Britt of NY, Sheryl Britt of TX, Bethany Koehler (fiancé Darrel) of Grand Rapids, Matthew Britt (companion Sheila) of Grand Rapids; Grandchildren: Chelsea, Brittney, Devin, Morgan, Cameron, T.J., Chris, Ryan, Melany, Sara, Loren, Jared, Alex, Will and Remi; Siblings: Bob (Barb) MacKenzie of Chesaning, Betty Ruddy of Swartz Creek, John Newcomer of Montrose, Mary Lou (Leon) Briggs of Montrose; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: her first husband, Cecil Clolinger on January 1, 1991; and a sister, Jane Lewis in 2015.
