PRUITT, Edward "Ed" Mayberry Jr - Age 69 , of Flint, died Thursday July 26, 2018. Funeral services will be held 1PM August 8, 2018 at the Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 W. Bristol Rd, Flint. Pastor John Gildner officiating. Visitation will be held 3PM-8PM Tuesday and at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint and 12PM until time of service at the church. In Lieu of Flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation. Edward was born in Greenville, South Carolina, the son of the late Edward Mayberry Sr. and Geraldine Constance (Davis) Pruitt. Mr. Pruitt married Debra Darlene Hall in Clio on June 9, 1973. Edward was a 1967 graduate of Flint Central High School. He proudly served his country retiring as a MSgt from the United States Army Reserves. Ed retired from the General Motors V-8 plant with 32 years of service. He enjoyed golfing,computers, crossword puzzles and reading. Surviving are: wife of 45 years, Debra of Flint; children, Constance (Chris Melvin) Pruitt of North Carolina, Tonia (Gene Conrad) Pruitt of Beaverton; grandchildren, Bruce and Justin Johnson, Lucas Melvin, Kyle and Alexis Conrad; great grandchildren, Arianna and Athena Johnson. He is also survived by brother, Roy (Debbie) Pruitt of Flint; Aunt, Thelma "Mommi" Mahon of Burton; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his son, Edward Mayberry Pruitt III.
