Almaraz, Alfredo D.- of Clio, passed away Tuesday, January 4th, 2022, at Ascension Genesys Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 12PM Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 4PM until 8PM and Tuesday 11AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle age 83, Alfredo was born September 4, 1938, to the late Eusebio and Benina (Delgado) Almaraz, in Marion, Texas. He grew up in Poteet, Texas until finally moving to Michigan where he married and raised his family. On April 13th, 1981, he married Georgina Hernandez. Alfredo worked at General Motors Truck Assembly in Flint he retired 1999. Alfredo was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing the accordion with his band Los Tex-Mex. He had a huge heart and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly loved and missed by everyone that knew him.
He leaves behind: Children: Ray (Sue) Almaraz, Jeff Almaraz, Jennifer Almaraz, Janie (Charles) Buchner, Freddy (Sarah) Almaraz; grandchildren: Isiaha, Austin, Tristan, Alexis, Mila, several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one brother, Rudy Almaraz.
He was preceded in passing by son Daniel Almaraz, daughter Irene Almaraz, grandson D.J. Almaraz, brothers Pedro, Bernabe, and Arnulfo Almaraz, sisters Elodia Escamillia, Grace Criado, Ramona Sookey, and Odulia Santos.
