Michael J. Rappuhn “Woodstock” 69, of Otisville, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 4, 1957, in Lapeer Michigan, Mike was the son of Jack and Virginia (Erity) Rappuhn. He married the love of his life, Becky Myers, on July 8, 1977. Mike dedicated many years of hard work to A.C. before retiring from Delphi. Mike had a deep love for farming, especially raising cattle and hogs. He took great pride in working at Johnson Farms, which led it to become his favorite hangout during retirement. Mike’s favorite pastime was taking long drives with Becky. They would often go on crop tours up through Bay City and into the Thumb and loved checking out lighthouses along the shoreline of Lake Huron. Known for his ability to fix just about anything, Mike especially enjoyed tinkering on his 1969 Chevelle. Above all, Mike cherished his family. His grandchildren were the center of his world, he rarely missed any of their athletic events or band concerts. His presence, work ethic, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Mike is survived by his wife, Becky; daughter, Melinda (Reid) Johnson; grandchildren, Andrew, Avery, and Lane; his mother, Virginia Lopez; and siblings, Sally (Dayle) Metro, Shelley (Mike) Hagle, Jill Paquette, Jackie (Harold) Warren, and Robert (Tammy) Stroup, along with several nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Jack Rappuhn; his grandparents, Maurice and Margaret Erity; and his mother-in-law, Mildred Myers. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place,Memphis, TN 38105. |
