MOCKLES, David Lee Sr., loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the age of 75. Public visitation will take place 2 PM to 8 PM, Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Private services will take place with private burial at Meadowview Memorial Gardens, Davison. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Disabled American Veterans.
Dave was born on November 12, 1944 in Harbor Beach, Michigan to Louis and Vivian (Peck) Mockles. He married his high school sweetheart, Sara (Cogdill), and they raised two sons David Jr. and Steven. He served honorably in the United States Navy then worked 30 years and retired from General Motors. Dave enjoyed spending time outdoors, relaxing at his back yard pond, fishing, riding ATVs, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sara; sister, Vivian (Eugene) Kelley; son, David (Sherry) Jr.; son, Steven (Starr); granddaughters, Kristyn, Destinee, and Misty; great grandchildren, Theia, Mia and Enzo; and many nieces and nephews.
