Dubie Fourth Degree Assembly 0523, following at 7PM. Visitation will continue from 11 AM until the time of Mass on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the church.

Dave was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on June 12, 1937. The only child of the late David P. and Margaret (Heaney) Buick, he graduated from St. Joseph High School in Pittsfield, MA. While attending GMI, he met the love of his life, Paula Jedlowski, at the GMI Grad Ball. They were married on April 22, 1961 at All Saints Catholic Church in Flint, Michigan. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where he formerly served on the Parish Finance Council.

Dave proudly served our Country in the Mobile Construction Battalion – the SEABEE’s – of the United State Navy. In 1998, Dave retired as a Senior Vice President at Citizens Bank in Flint after 36½ years of service in various positions at the bank. During his tenure at Citizens, he was active in the Robert Morris Association and, with Paula at his side, enjoyed traveling to the annual conference and training seminars.

Dave was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and a member of Davison’s Bishop Albers Council 4090 and the Ardon F. Dubie Fourth Degree Assembly 0523. From 1978 to 1984, he served as Fourth Degree District Master for Michigan District 2, leading the Sir Knights of the Lansing Diocese. Dave also served as Trustee with the Bishop Albers Trust, a volunteer with the Boy Scouts, and was an active supporter of the One Hundred Club of Greater Flint.

Dave, a master of the grill, enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, especially at Deer Camp, on the golf course, or at his home in the Berkshires and their time vacationing in Maui. He especially enjoyed the comfort provided by his “grand-dogs” Baelie and Riley.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Paula; sons, David A. (Bath, MI), Robert (Flint), and James (Flushing); grandchildren, Katherine and Robert Buick; special friends, Monica and Faith; his K of C family, and many other family and friends.

The family would like to thank the team of Charter Senior Living Memory Care in Davison and Heartland Hospice for the care and support of Dave and the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Diocese of Lansing Bishop Albers Trust Fund, Heartland Hospice or your local dog rescue or animal shelter.
