Hetherington, Lloyd L. – of Clio, age 75, died Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Regency at Grand Blanc. Cremation will take place and no services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions, in Lloyd’s name, may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Lloyd was born on April 25, 1948, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Lloyd and Lila (VanArsdale) Hetherington. He had resided in Clio since 1966, coming from Flint. Lloyd married Judy White on June 17, 1966, in Clio. He retired from GM’s Buick Motor Division with 30 years of service. He was also a member of UAW Local #599 and Bethany United Methodist Church. Lloyd also graduated from the Flint Police Academy in 1975 and served as a police officer for several local police departments in Genesee County.
Surviving are: wife, Judy; Son, Jim Hetherington; 4 granddaughters: Kayleigh, Stephanie, Sarah, and Allyssa; Siblings: Danny, Pat, Ken, and Karen; Sisters-in-law: JoAnn and Annie. Lloyd was also preceded in death by his son, Tony, 5 sisters, and 2 brothers.
