David Lee Barr, age 67, of Columbiaville died Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family.
David was born May 12, 1950 in Battle Creek, the son of the late Raymond and Mildred [Allen] Barr. He married Charlotte Gideon on May 15, 1981 in Flint. David retired from GM-Delphi in February of 2004 after 35 and half years of service. He was a member of Lapeer Eagles Club, and Columbiaville Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, golf, but most of all spending time with his family and friends.
David is survived by his wife of 36 years, Charlotte, children: Julie (Julian) Garcia, Michelle (Rudy) Alanis, Melissa Panek, David Barr, siblings: Teresa (Larry) Connor, Tammy Barr, Douglas (Laurie) Barr, 9 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville, where friends may visit 9:30 AM till time of service. Pastor Tom Forgo officiating. Memorial contributions in memory of David may be made to the Southern Links Trailway.
