GALLAGHER-SCHOLAR, Donna Lee – of Burton, MI, age 71, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 1 PM Friday, April 5, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Inurnment will take place in South Carolina at a later date. The family will receive visitors 12-1 PM Friday, April 5, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Donna was born in San Angelo, TX on February 11, 1953, daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy Gallagher. She married Bob Scholar on April 5, 1975. Donna loved working with the children at Camp Tamarack, where she was a camp director for many years. She was known as a craft master, her talents were evident in her gardening and cooking skills. Donna was an avid reader, especially Scripture. She had a passion for animals. Her greatest joy was found in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her husband, Bob Scholar; 2 daughters, Sheila (Jeffery) Fredette and Carollyn (Richard) Bearss; 2 grandchildren, Morgan and Hunter Koop; 2 brothers, Michael (Anne) Gallagher and Mark (Elba) Gallagher; 2 sisters, Patricia (Sean) Corcoran and Mary Beth (Jeff) Heath; many other loving family members and dear friends. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by an infant son, Daniel Duffy.
