GRETZINGER, Mary “Pennie” – Of Grand Blanc, age 92, died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Garth Pleasant officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Michigan Alzheimer’s Disease Center in Ann Arbor. Visitation 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-9 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Mary was born in Flint, Michigan on March 3, 1926, the daughter of Frank and Julia Gyorkos, and was a resident of the Flint area all of her life. On October 19, 1957, she married Arthur Gretzinger. Pennie was an avid reader, loved football, enjoyed gambling and traveling and was very devoted to her family. Surviving are children, Sharon (Bob) Flewelling, Debbie (Buster) Coykendall and Jeffrey Gretzinger; 7 grandchildren Tracie (Jim)Lyons, Kelly (Randal)Griffith, Anndreya (Matt) Jaworski, Mary Kristina (Ron) Gardner, Cheri (Daryll)Rossell, Mark(Ashley)Coykendall and Elizabeth (Joshua) Scafe;11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
