Hensley, Rodney – Of Flint, age 81, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Wellbridge of Fenton.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Visitation at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Rodney was born in Dawson Springs Kentucky on November 5, 1943.
On October 11, 1964, he married Margie Carolyn Norris in Mundy Township.
Rodney retired from GM after 30 years as a Skilled Trades Painter.
Rodney was a very handy man when it came to fixing things around the house. When Rodney wasn’t fixing things, you could find him at the bowling alley or the casino. Anyone that knew him knew how stubborn he was, even till the end.
Surviving are daughters, Michelle (Joe) Contreras and Carolyn Hensley (Shawn Thrower);
grandchildren, Jessica, Sarah, and Kyle Contreras;
6 great-grandchildren and
sister, Jan Loomis of Kentucky.
