McDonald, Sharron L. - age 86 of Grand Blanc, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 5, 2026 at Holy Family Catholic Church located at 11804 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439 with Father Leronio Vodivodi officiating. The service will be live streamed on Holy Family Parish of Grand Blanc U Tube and Facebook channels. Interment will follow at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in North Branch, Michigan. Visitation from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday, June 4, 2026 at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Fenton Chapel (1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, Michigan 48430) and from 9:00 AM Friday until the time of service at church. Rosary at 6:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sharron to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alzheimer.org).
Sharron was born on November 18, 1939 in Flint, Michigan to the late Leland and Bernidine (Slattery) Yettaw. She graduated from Holy Redeemer and went on to attend Flint Junior College. Sharron married Roderick McDonald on May 9, 1959 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Burton, Michigan. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Holy Family Catholic Church. Sharron had a passion and talent for interior design and was the proud owner of the Emporium in addition for being recognized for her excellence with draperies, though her greatest pleasure was the cherished time that she spent with her grandchildren.
Surviving is her beloved husband of 67 years, Roderick. Loving children, Jerome (L:inda) McDonald of Carson, WA; Michelle (Mark-Devin Verdejo) McDonald of Phoenix, AZ; Aileen (Robert) Franchi of Northville; Theresa (Robert) Jackson of Toledo. Treasured grandchildren, Ellen Ennest and Thomas, Mark & Anna Franchi. Dear sister of, Mary Ann (Richard) Throop of Grand Blanc and Cathy Stone of Daytona, FL. Nieces and nephews also survive. Sharron will be welcomed into Heaven by her parents; daughter, Monica Lynn; brother, Robert "Bobby" Yettaw.
