STEPANICK, JR., John – of Flint, age 80, passed away May 16, 2016 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Burial will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1-8 PM. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM on Wednesday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
John was born in Flint, MI on September 13, 1935, son of the late John and Anna (Petras) Stepanick, Sr. He married Patricia Bochanski on September 15, 1962. John worked for the City of Flint Parks and Recreation and was a school bus driver for Kearsley Community Schools. He loved repairing small engines, bowling in his younger years, camping and tinkering around the garage. Most of all, he enjoyed his retirement with his family and grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Kevin Stepanick and Karin (Bryan) Davis; grandchildren, Christopher, Gabryel, Laurin and Taylor; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara (Sam) Yanta; several nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Stella Pacanovsky; brother, Frederick Stepanick.
