GIBBS, Sharon L. (Stanfill) - Age 65 of Flint passed away October 21, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center in her daughter’s arms. Funeral services will be held at 3PM on Monday October 26, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Interment will take place at Sunset Hills Cemetery next to her son Mike. Visitation will take place from 1PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Genesee County Humane Society.
Sharon was born to James S. and Mary Alice Stanfill on January 31, 1950. She was a gentle, kind soul who was loved by so many.
Mrs. Gibbs leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Paul Gibbs, son, Rodney (Wanda) McLean, daughters; Tammy Lara, Tonya (Judy) Gwinn, son-in-law Warden Hadley, 21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, special niece Gidget, as well as her animals that she loved dearly, her dogs; Lupay, Angel, Maggie, and birds; Issac and Isabell.
She is preceded in death by her son, Michael McLean, Daughter, Teresa Hadley, parents; James and Mary Alice, brother, Jim Stanfill, sister-in-law, Barb Stanfill, as well as her dogs; Gizmo, Bud and Stella.
Special thanks to Hurley ICU, CCU, 9th Floor staff and also her doctor, Lisa Linsey who wasn’t simply her doctor, but was like a daughter to her.
