MILLER, Ardell “Moe” Marie (Hopkins) – of Flint, MI, age 86, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Interment in Meadowview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors 4-8 PM Wednesday, April 10, 2019 and 10-11 AM Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Ronald McDonald House of Detroit, 4707 St. Antoine Street #200, Detroit, MI 48201, in Ardell’s memory.
Ardell was born in Vinton, Iowa on October 13, 1932, daughter of the late Bill and Rose (Gasparich) Hopkins. She married Glen H. Miller on September 24, 1949 and he preceded her in death on July 10, 2014. Moe loved music and she was an avid reader and collector of McDonald’s toys. She was extremely supportive of her family and was always available to help anyone in need. Moe loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ardell is survived by 2 children, Paulette (Keith) Teare and Glen (Dawn) Miller, Jr.; 7 grandchildren, Jaclyn Teare, Nicolette (Andrew) Wilberding, Jake (Katherine) Miller, Jeremy (Monica) Teare, Joshua (Trisha) Teare, Jason Teare and Jennifer (Kurt) Mosby; 10 great-grandchildren, Jacob Teare, Ethan Teare, Preston Teare, Kaitlyn Rainey, Nataly (Cody) Cole, Amber (Kyle Braun) Mosby, Aric Mosby, Austin Mosby, Nora Wilberding and Julia Wilberding; great-great-granddaughter, Clara Cole; brother, Craig (Michele) Hopkins; many other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Curt Hopkins on April 22, 2002.
