1955–2025
With profound sadness, our family announces the passing of Ron Wilson, age 69, who took his final breath on November 23 at the place he loved most, his family cabin, surrounded by the peace and comfort that always filled him there.
Memorial visitation will be held at 4-8pm Friday, November 28, 2025, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Michigan.
Born with a steadfast spirit and a heart bigger than life, he proudly served his country as a United States Marine, carrying that honor with him every day of his life. But above all else, he was a family man in every sense of the word. For 47 beautiful years, he was the devoted husband to Mary, his lifelong partner and best friend.
He was the loving father to Sara (Matt) and Aubrey (Rob), and the proudest grandfather to Jayden, Cash, Tenley, Kaisley, Karter, and Kollins. His grandchildren were truly his greatest joy. He talked about them every chance he got, made countless videos capturing their smiles and their moments, and cherished every second spent with them. He was also known for his incredible sense of humor, always cracking jokes, always making people laugh, and bringing joy into every room he entered. His love for his family and the laughter he shared with them was endless and unwavering.
He was a beloved brother to Danny (Julie), Ricky (Connie), and Guy (Judi), and a cherished brother-in-law to Sandy (Tom). He adored his nieces and nephews Ronnie, Jordan, Madison, Kyle, Kody, Taylor, and Rachel and was so proud of each of them.
He found his peace outdoors hunting, fishing, and spending time at the cabin. The cabin was his sanctuary, his favorite place to be, especially when it was filled with family. It is fitting, and somehow comforting, that it was there he made his peaceful journey home.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, laughter, and family devotion that will carry on through all who were blessed to know him.
Our hearts are broken, but we take solace in knowing that his love will forever guide us.
