BRUFF, Toni Jean – of Flint, MI, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton, Davison, MI 48423 at 1 PM on Monday, June 22, 2026; Rev. Fr. Dieudonné Ntakarutimana celebrant. Interment will take place following the Mass in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 2 – 7 PM on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass at church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Toni was born in Flint on February 12, 1950, the daughter of the late Morris A. and Genevieve (Pyrc) Kurys. On September 21, 1968, she married the love of her life, Patrick Bruff, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Mt. Morris Township. Their love story began in the eighth grade, and after graduating in June, they exchanged vows just a few months later, beginning a beautiful life together that spanned decades. Toni found joy in both vegetable and flower gardening and loved traveling, especially to Florida, Maine, and the Carolinas. She cherished time spent Up North, where she enjoyed fishing and making lasting memories with family and friends. An exceptional cook, Toni was well known for her delicious macaroni salad, potato salad, and beloved pineapple delight cake, recipes that became family favorites and a staple at gatherings. Above all, Toni treasured her family. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with those she loved, especially her granddaughters, who brought immense pride and joy to her life. Her warmth, devotion, and caring spirit will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
Toni is survived by her husband of 58 years, Patrick Bruff; 2 daughters, Gina Bruff and Natalie Bruff; 2 granddaughters, Aubree-Anna (Ayden Stacey) Bruff and Sydney Bruff; 2 sisters, JoAnn (Philip) Rodery, Renee (David) Wilson; many other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Toni was preceded in death by a niece, Marcie Cates.
