GOOCH, Harry - age 92, passed away on December 27, 2017 in Burton, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm at Brown Funeral Home – 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at Brown Funeral Home. Interment at Flint Memorial Park. Harry was born on April 17, 1925 in Indiana to the late Harry and Vernice Gooch. Harry married the love of his life, Genevieve Boes on March 14, 1946 in Imlay City, Michigan. Together they build a life full of happiness and love. Harry proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII in the South Pacific. He received a Purple Heart for wounds he endured during his time. Harry was a part of many different activities throughout his 92 years, from the handyman at his church to woodworking for his friends and family. He was a wonderful man that will be deeply missed. Harry is survived by his wife, Genevieve; children: William (Patricia) Gooch, Mark (Pam) Gooch, Kenneth (Joyce) Gooch, Elizabeth (David) Piper, Kevin (Diane) Gooch; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sons, Jerry Gooch and Stephen Gooch, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society in memory of Harry.
