JOHNSON, Clark N. – of Clio, age 65, died on Friday, February 19, 2021 at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation will be taking place. Inurnment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly with full military honors at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #125 of Birch Run.
Clark was born December 18, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1974 and later earned his bachelor’s degree from Excelsior College while serving in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Johnson is a proud U.S. Navy Veteran and served faithfully until he was honorably discharged. Clark worked for Paramount Potato Chip Company for many years. He was the inspiration for Paramount’s Mascot, Slim Chiply. Clark finished his career working in the automotive industry. He was a very active member of the American Legion Post #125 of Birch Run. He enjoyed researching everything, especially when it came to history.
Surviving are: Children: Allison Johnson, Matthew Johnson, and Elisabeth (Aaron) Schisler; Twin grandsons: Robert Johnson and Matthew Johnson Jr.; Grandchildren: Jaxon Schisler and Scarlett Schisler; Sister, Karen Johnson; Furry companion, Frankie. Clark was preceded in death by: Parents: Robert Johnson and Martha Nelms Johnson; Stepmother, Virginia Carson-Johnson.
