Heidenreich, Donald passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026. Donald was born on September 2, 1946 in Flint, Michigan to Ann (Svinarich) and Walter Heidenreich. Don was a proud Vietnam Veteran and served as a Corpsman receiving several medals for his service including the Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal with Combat Insignia and Bronze Star. Don retired from Goodwill Industries in 2009. Don was a talented musician and loved playing his guitar. Throughout his life, he sang in several bands and was always ready for karaoke or singing for the family. He loved driving the school bus for Holy Rosary High School sports teams and working Bingo.
Don is survived by: sons, Rick (Kayla) Heidenreich and Dominic (Bridget) Foster, Daughters, Gina (Gene) Wood, Sharol (Noor) Gajraj, and June Gesta.
Grandchildren: Dr. Kaeli Heidenreich, Ryon (Makenzie) Honea, Brian Gray, Christian Kochan. Great-Grandson Hudson Honea. Siblings Walt (Guada) Heidenreich and Carol Brownell and several nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Amarita Heidenreich, parents Walter and Ann Heidenreich, and granddaughter Taylor Kochan.
The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice and Patriot Ambulance Service.
Memorial Service will be held 11:30am Monday, February 2, 2026 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Visitation 10am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery with military service Monday following the memorial service.
