BARRERA, Maria E. - Of Flint, age 70, died Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, G-2316 West Coldwater Road, Flint, MI 48505,
Father Paul Donnelly officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 1-4pm and 6-8pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 11am Saturday at church until the time of the Mass.
Maria was born in Pleasanton, Texas on January 3, 1947, the daughter of the late Enrique and Rosa (Lambaria) Barrera. Maria was employed with the Genesee County Register of Deeds in Genesee County for 10 years and Flint Truck Assembly for many years. She was a member of UAW Local #598 and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
Surviving are daughter, Brenda Barrera;
son, Eric Barrera;
grandson, Grant Barrera;
brother, Henry Barrera; sisters, Betty (Ed) Lessner and Deborah (Mark) Duncan;
and many nieces and nephews.
