WALTERS, Billy J. - age 89, of Clayton Twp, passed away August 1, 2023 at her residence surrounded by family. Private services will be held. Billy was born December 17, 1933 in Sikeston, MO, the daughter of Archibald and Nettie Lou Freed. She married Ernest Walters on October 16, 1954. Billy worked at General Motors for 12 years. She enjoyed hunting and fishing. Billy also was a hospital volunteer and taught Tai Chi and Water Aerobics for many years. Surviving are: husband, Ernest Walters; son, Anthony Walters; daughter, Sandra (Matthew) Crawley; grandchildren, Justin Burgess, Derek Beamer and Sheldon Beamer; one great-grandson, Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings. Arrangements entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 4847.
