BROOKS, Nancy J. – of Flint, age 51, passed away, Friday, August 19, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center. A Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Rev. Harold K. Polk Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 1-4 & 6-8 PM Monday and 10-2 PM Tuesday.
Nancy was born in Flint, MI on March 3, 1960, daughter of the late Cleburne and Margaret (Besson) Thorne. She worked at Star-Lite Coney Island.
Nancy is survived by daughter, Amy (Pat) Herriman; son, Justin (Linzi) Brooks; grandchildren, Tyler, Oliver, Alivia; father of her children, Jerry; life partner, Joyce; siblings, Mary (Lloyd) Mitchell, David Thorne, Kelly Thorne, Michael Thorne, David (Christine) Parkinson, Gary Parkinson; step-father, Dale. She was preceded in death by grandmother, Geraldine Besson.
