KHOURI, Jean - Of Burton, age 87, died Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Vicinia Gardens in Fenton.
Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, December 11, 2014
at St. George Orthodox Church, 5191 Lennon Road, Flint,
The Very Reverend Father Joseph Abud officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to St. George Orthodox Church.
Visitation 3-8pm Wednesday at the church and 10am Thursday until the time of the service at the church. A Trisagion Service will be held 7pm Wednesday evening at the church.
Jean was born in Grand Rapids on June 26, 1927. She married Alexander Naif Khouri in Grand Rapids in June of 1951. Jean was a member of St. George Orthodox Church and a member of the choir. She was also a member of Al-Watan. She was a secretary at Kearsley Schools for many years.
Surviving are children, Cheryl and husband Gary Elford of Davison, Sandy and husband Doug Thomas of Flushing, Nick and wife Robyn Khouri of Plymouth,
grandchildren, Melissa and husband Dan, Tina and husband Justin, Nick and wife Lisa, Matt and Sarah, Alec, and Andrew;
great-grandchildren, Madison, Laney, Morgan and Averie;
sisters, Louise and Linda of Grand Rapids;
sister-in-law, Betty;
and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander.
