NEISES, Duane D. – Age 93, of Flint, died from heart complications Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at home, surrounded by his loving family.
A private family viewing is scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2020 at Swartz Funeral Home, Flint. A private family burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint with Fr. Anthony Strouse presiding.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Duane was born on October 17, 1926 in Flint, the son of John and Anna Neises.
He was a graduate of Utley High School. He served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Radioman and Gunner. He secured a long and successful career with McDonald Dairy, where he received several accolades as a Wholesale Salesman.
On October 11, 1956 Duane wed Marie Huber. He enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada, as well as planning family-oriented fishing and camping trips. Duane spent much of his 25-year retirement enjoying his second home in Ft. Myers, Florida. He was consistently elected President of the Landscape Beautification Committee for his retirement community.

grandchildren, Brian White, Michelle Carullo, Scott Davis, Johanna Green, Shawn Strand, April Bartlett, Andrew Neises, Bryan Scribner, Kenneth Scribner, Tammy Carpenter, Mathew Carpenter, Max Pattillo, and Luke Airgood;
great-grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Courtney, Morgan, Carson, Erica, Violet, Gideon, Olivia, Emelyn, Fielding, Liberty, Conor, Alex, and Rya.
The family is especially grateful to Jolene & Ty of Medical Team Hospice.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Neises; his parents, John and Anna Neises; his granddaughter, Julie Ann Peters and his sister, Madonna Brock.
