YOUNG, Hilton L. – of Flint, age 89, passed away December 3, 2014 at his residence. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held
4 PM Saturday, December 13, 2014 in the Chapel at Evergreen Cemetery, 3415 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc; Rev. Glenn Patterson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Hilton was born In Genesee, MI on December 26, 1924, son of the late Archie and Eva (Cox) Young. He married Phyllis Perior on March 30, 1946 and she preceded him in death on January 20, 1998. Hilton retired form Dupont after 25 years. He loved the outdoors, playing cards and cutting wood.
Hilton is survived by his children, Wayne (Jean) Young, Diane Jacobs, Alice Potter, Becky (Ron) Johnson; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Jerry Coleman. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Coleman in 2005; son-in-law, Rick Jacobs; sister, Eileen Tidball; brother, Dean Young and friend, Betty Triplett. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Judy Stinson who has been like family and cared for Hilton for the past five years.
