LaLonde, Blanch B. – of Clio, formerly of Mt Morris, age 85 died November 1, 2017 at Maple Wood Manor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 4, 2017 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home, Clio Chapel. Pastor Mike Prince officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 PM and Saturday from 10 AM until time of service. Memorial contributions can be made to Disabled American Veterans or to the Old News Boys.
Blanch was born October 12, 1932 in Gaines, Michigan to the late William and Myrtle (Alarie) LaLonde. She attended Clio High School. Prior to her retirement in 1995 she worked for AC Spark Plug for 33 years. She was a member of the Clio Eagles Club 3609 and the UAW Local 651. Blanch enjoyed golfing, casinos, playing the lottery and gardening. She was a faithful fan of Michigan Football, the Tigers and the Lions. However one of her greatest joys in life was going on her annual trip with her daughters.
Surviving are: Children: Michael (Lori) Herrick, Janet (Jon) Allett, Judy (Bob Brocker) Schroeder, Loretta (Gary) Stanke, Edwin (Gloria) Herrick, Ruth Arvin; several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; Brother: Henry “Hank” LaLonde; Sisters: Donna “June” McGee, Maxine “Mickey” (Jerald) Cole, Betty Nixon; Special Friends: Gary Keen and Jeanie Cook. She was preceded in death by her Daughter: Gloria Jean Lindquist; Sisters: Alma Lawrence and Rachelle Hosman.
