Margaret A. Skinner age 90 of Byron, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the Swank Home Assisted Living. A funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Village Bible Church in Byron. Pastor John White will be officiating. Burial will follow to Byron Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-8 PM at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel.
Margaret Anna Stites was born on August 17, 1935 in Highland Park, a daughter of Elmer and Ila (Block) Stites. On July 25, 1953 she married Robert Skinner. Margaret loved being involved in her church, doing yard work, cooking, baking, spending time with her family and going to her children and grandchildren's sporting events. For years she volunteered for EMS and she drove bus for Byron area schools.
Margaret is survived by her children, Debbie (Randy) Nowlen, Don (Diane) Skinner, Bob (Debbi) Skinner, Denise Skinner, Connie Skinner, Jack (Lori) Skinner, Carol (Brian) Braden, Brian Skinner and David (Darciy Skinner; 19 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Eugene (Clara) Stites and David (Barb) Stites. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Skinner; grandson, Jeremy Skinner; granddaughter, Samantha Skinner; siblings, Elmer Stites Jr., Betty Aspinal, William Stites and Richard Stites; parents, Elmer Stites Sr. and Ila Stites.
