JACKSON, Mary I. – of Mt. Morris, passed away August 29, 2014 at Genesys Health Park surrounded by her family. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 12 PM Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM – 8 PM Tuesday, 11 AM-12 PM Wednesday. A Rosary will be prayed 6 PM Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Disabled and Paralyzed Veterans Fund.
Mary was born in Lowell, MA on July 3, 1926, daughter of the late George and Ann (McGlaughlin) Thompson. She married Robert D. Jackson in January 1951 and he preceded her in death January 22, 1999. Mary was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Mt. Morris. She loved writing letters, reading books and watching westerns. Mary worked at Genesee School retiring after 16 years of service.
Mary is survived by her children, Kathy (Clarence) Roberts, Robert D. Jackson, Larry M. (Glenna) Jackson, Paul A. (Lynda) Jackson, Cindy (Kipp) Reinhardt; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; dear friend Katie and Marshall. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynda; sisters, Helen and Marg; brother, Buddy; granddaughter, Marie; daughter-in-law, Vickie; great-grandson, MacKenzy.
