Percy, George Emil - Age 86, of Flint, died November 6, 2018. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11AM Monday, November 12 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church 1227 E. Bristol Rd. Burton. Father Steve Anderson celebrant. Visitation will be held 4-8PM Saturday, and 1-4 and 6-8PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint. A Moose Lodge service will be held 2PM Sunday and also a scripture service at 7PM Sunday. Visitation will also be held 10AM Monday until the time of the service at the church on Monday. Interment at a later date at St. Francis Cemetery, Alverno (Cheboygan), MI. Those desiring may make contributions to the Grand Blanc Moose Lodge 2344. George was born December 14, 1931 in Cheboygan the son of Arthur and Bertha Percy. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. George married Mary LaCross on February 9, 1952 she preceded him in death on June 3, 2006. He worked for GM Buick for 30 years retiring in 1993. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing guitar with Country Ramblers and previous bands. He was a member of Holy Redeemer, Moose Lodge 2344, Cheboygan Eagles (Golden Eagle) Lodge 1282, Flint Croation Slovene Home, American Legion Grand Blanc Post 413, Knights Of Columbus, National Rifle Association. George is survived by his three sons, Paul (Tammy) Percy of Green Bay, WI, Bruce Percy of Fenton, Michael Percy of Green Bay, WI; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Percy of Cheboygan, Carol LaCross of Burton; many nieces and nephews; fiancee, Marie Wuest of Montrose. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; twin brother, John Percy; and brother-in-law, L.D. LaCross. Georges family extends a special thanks to Genesys Hospital and staff, Holy Redeemer, Cranberry Park Assisted Living, Maplewoods Manor and Heartland Hospice Group.
