AMON, Adam “Les” – of Davison, age 72, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026 at McLaren – Flint. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 PM Friday, July 17, 2026 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Denis Spitzley celebrant. Cremation will take place following the Mass. The family will welcome visitors from 11-2 PM and 4-7 PM on Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Friday at church. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 PM on Thursday at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davison Community Enrichment Programs, in Les’s memory.
Les was born in Flint, MI on February 12, 1954, son of the late Joseph and Doris (Nuttle) Amon. He married Linda LaHaie on July 20, 2013. Les graduated from Lakeville High School in 1972, where he played football. He started his career at GTE and then created many other telecommunication companies, including LVC Communications, eventually ending his career with Amon’s Detailing. He was passionate about creating businesses from scratch and he was great at it. Les loved coaching football at all levels including his son and both daughters in powderpuff and ending his career on the chain gang for the Davison Varsity football team. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Davison Country Club for many years. Les enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, but his favorite thing was watching his grandchildren’s activities.
Les is survived by his loving wife, Linda; children, Tiffini (Justin) Bridgett, Adrianne (Jeff) McKenna, Adam ( Emilee) Amon and Randy (Mary) Hall; grandchildren, Adysen, Baylee, Ayden, Brody, August, George, Oliver and Elizabeth; siblings, Diana Hurley, Teresa (Al) Wright, John (Paula) Amon and Tammy Wilhelm; and many other loving family members and friends.
