Hazel Nora Piesko, age 101, of Otisville entered eternal life on March 6, 2021 with loving family beside her at home.
Hazel was born June 4, 1919 in Flint, Michigan to the late Michael and Clara Tabit. She married Anthony Piesko on September 7, 1940. Hazel retired from AC Spark Plug and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church of Otisville. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, bingo, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Hazel is survived by her daughter Elaine (Bob) Simmonds, sister-in-law Wanda Piesko, grandchildren Tony (Denise), Rob (Shelley), Michelle (Rich), David (Christa), Ryan (Theda), and 7 great-grandchildren: Christopher, Nathan, Keyanna (Shane), Taylor, Makayla, Julian, and Olivia. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 5 siblings.
A Celebratory Mass for Hazel will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. [A LiveStream of the mass will be available on Hazel’s obituary starting at 10:55AM]. Father Denis celebrant. Family and friends may visit 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Jansen Family Funeral Home- Columbiaville.
