JARRAD, SCOTT EDWARD- of Burton, age 69, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 7, 2026.
Funeral service will be held at 2pm Monday, September 14, 2026, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Randy Brandon officiating.
Visitation will be held at 11am on Monday until the time of service at the funeral home.
Burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
Scott was born on May 30, 1957, in Durand, Michigan, the son of Lewis and Beverly Jarrad.
He married the love of his life, Marsha, on July 5, 1998. They created a wonderful life of faith, love and generosity.
Scott was a devoted husband, loving dad and grandpa.
He enjoyed the friendships, laughter and connections he made during his 40 years of employment at General Motors, retiring in 2025.
Together Scott and Marsha enjoyed watching college football (GO BLUE), bike rides in Traverse City and Mackinaw Island. Truly each other’s best friend.
Since he was a young boy, Scott had a great sense of humor, always pulling pranks on others. Yet, he was always a great encourager in lifting up others. He jumped at the opportunity to entertain friends and family, serving a great meal or even busting out in song and dance.
He knew when to cheer others up, encourage and care. His kindness was immeasurable. His friends will always remember “Scotty J” with his beautiful blue eyes, that smiled from within his soul.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Marsha; children, Gabe Jarrad (Valerie), Hanah Crooms (Caleb), Cari Williamson (Andy); grandchildren, Madi, Micah, Asher and Makalie; brothers. Jim Jarrad (Dory); many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Dawn Swartz and Jeri Sensabaugh; mother and father-in-law, Wayne and Dolores Glasco.
