BIGGS, David Fisher - Age 90, of Flint Township, died Saturday, January 19, 2019. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 25, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, our temporary location at Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Road, Swartz Creek (Mundy Township). Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery, Montrose. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Urantia Foundation.
David was born July 26, 1928 in Rensselaer, IN, the son of William McKinley and Charlotte Beatrice (Fisher) Biggs. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. He married Gloria Faga September 25, 1965 in Boston, MA and she preceded him in death October 12, 2011. David retired in 1988 from GM as the Supervisor of Skilled Trades.
Surviving are: his daughter, Sarah Jo Biggs of Grosse Pointe Park; grandchildren, Kurt Hamel of Detroit and Adrianne Hamel of Grosse Pointe Park; brother, Kenneth "Skip" (Pat) Biggs of Montrose; sister, Diane (David) VanNorwick of Plymouth, WI; and nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; and brother, William Biggs. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
