Evelyn J. Sparks, age 86 of Owosso, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 5, 2015. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Perry. Pastor Mike Prince will officiate with burial to follow at Alchin Cemetery in Webberville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday 6-8 PM and Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
Evelyn was born on August 6, 1928 in White Oak Township, the daughter of Charles L. and Stella (Hodge) Breese. On august 12, 1944 she married Millard "Sparky" Sparks. She was a member of the Corunna Nazarene Church and AARP. She was employed with Stanley Home Products and Avon and retired from Strawsine Manufacturing.
Evelyn is survived by her sons: Charles (Dorothy) Sparks of Las Vegas and Bruce Sparks of Manton, MI, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, nieces, nephews and special friend Karen Pritchett. She was predeceased by her husband in 2006, 5 brothers and 8 sisters. Memorials are suggested to Corunna Nazarene Church or Shiawassee Council on Aging.
