Harrison, Barry L. – of Montrose, age 68, died on Monday, July 12, 2021, at McLaren of Flint. Funeral services will be held at 12PM on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 14th from 3PM until 7PM, and Thursday July 15, from 11AM until the time of Service. Honoring Barry’s wishes, cremation is to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 400 N Saginaw Street, Montrose MI 48457.
Barry was born in Flint, Michigan, on June 8, 1953, to the late Clayton and Evelyn (Westcott) Harrison. He graduated from Clio High School in 1971. He worked for General Motors and retired after 33 years of service. Barry married the love of his life, Kathy (Perez) Harrison 47 years ago, on March 7, 1975, at St. Michaels Catholic Church of Flint. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, boating, and keeping his yard tidy. Barry loved to talk to everybody, and he made friends everywhere he went. He was always there when you needed good advice. Barry will be remembered as a caring, happy go lucky, generous man with an infectious laugh and smile. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are: Wife, Kathy Harrison; Siblings: Keith (Cindy) Harrison, Wayne Harrison, Steve (Karen) Perez, Julie (Tim) Cyrus, and Anne (Tom) Schlecht; beloved and spoiled nieces and nephews: Denice (Charlie), Mark (Kara), Michelle (John), Matt (Jessica), Stephen, Michael (Lynnel), Matthew (Hannah), Melissa (Kevin), Stephanie (Darren), Cecillia (Cody); Several great nieces and nephews; as well as many special friends and family. He was preceded in death by both parents, Clayton and Evelyn, and Father and Mother-in-law, Tirso Perez Jr. and Helen Perez. |
