COLLISON, Thomas Wilson Jr. - Age 86, of Grand Blanc, passed away, July 14, 2025. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 600 N. Adelaide Fenton. Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation 2:00 PM-8:00 PM Monday, July 21, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton and 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Tuesday at church. A Marine Corps League Honors Service will be provided by the Marine Corps League Flint Detachment #155 at 6:30 PM Monday, July 21, 2025. A Rosary will be recited 7:00 PM Monday. Interment 10:30 AM Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Memorial Contributions in Thomas' memory would be appreciated to The Wounded Warriors Project.
Thomas was born June 20, 1939 in Saginaw the son of Thomas Wilson and Elizabeth Katherine (Armstrong) Collison, Sr. He married Bobbette Rush at St. John the Evangelist Catholic (Old Chapel) in Fenton on November 30, 1963. She preceded him in death on November 15, 2023. Thomas proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War. He attended G.M.I. Thomas was a self employed Contractor. He was an active member of the Linden and Fenton VFW Posts and The Marine Corps League Flint Detachment #155.
Thomas is survived by his son, Thomas (Colleen) Collison, III; and his daughter Sarah Terry; grandchildren, Thomas (Harley) IV, Katie (Josh), Joe (Katy), and Nicole (Jacob); great grandchildren, RJ, Jazmynn, Peyton, Jasper, Dechlan, and Vayden; sisters, Kathy Hawes, and Susie Matison; and his faithful and loving companion, "Sandi."
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Bobbette; sisters, Shirley Morgan, and Mary Brundsen. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
