WISWOSSER, Virginia - Of Flint, age 91, died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Dave Hintz officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of one’s choice. Visitation 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Virginia was born in Rochester, Michigan on October 16, 1919, to Howard and Clara (Lawson) Winterstein. She married Robert C. Wiswosser on May 17, 1946. Virginia worked for S.S. Kresge and retired in 1980, after working for Citizens Bank for 17 years. After retirement Virginia and Bob enjoyed traveling and spending their winters in Florida. Virginia enjoyed listening to her favorite music, playing cards with family and friends; family gatherings and especially reading and playing games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a secret recipe for potato salad that has never been duplicated. Left to cherish her memory, daughters, Kay (John) Fritzler of Flint and Lynn (Wayne) Hammerberg of Flint Township; son, Charles of Newport, Michigan;
10 grandchildren; many loving great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, 1987; two sons, Richard, 1993 and Paul, 1985; one grandson, Sean Morley, 2004; one brother and four sisters.
I shall pass through this world but once.
Any good I can do or any kindness that
I can show to any human being let me do it now.
Let me not defer or neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again.
