ELLIS, Daniel Lee - Of Linden, age 71, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 3pm Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Rob Prince officiating.
Private burial will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
Visitation 12noon Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Daniel was born in Quincy, Illinois on December 18, 1942, the son of Sibert and Edith M.(East) Ellis. On August 17, 1987, he married Nancy Levi in Flint. Daniel served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He attended Central Church of the Nazarene. Daniel retired from Citizens Bank in 2009.
Surviving are wife, Nancy;
son, Chad Ellis of Brighton, MI;
step-son, Jason Rothermel of Lake Worth, FL;
grandchildren, Adrianna and Annika;
father, Sibert of Quincy, IL;
and sister, Nancy Meyer of Quincy, IL.
Daniel was preceded in death by his mother.
