Alfred Larry Ring, age 85, of Columbiaville died November 2, 2018 at /McLaren in Lapeer with his family beside him.
Alfred was born May 31, 1933 in Dresden, Ohio to the late Bud and Arlene Ring.
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, and married Elizabeth “Betty” Krascell on January 14, 1956. Alfred enjoyed deer hunting, working on cars for family & friends, and was quite the do-it-yourself handy man, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.
Alfred is survived by his children: Victoria Mira, Elizabeth “Betsy” (Michael) Alexander, Colleen (John) McKeon, Lori Shannon, Thomas S. Ring, siblings: Richard (Gail) Ring, Ferd (Laura) Ring, 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and close friend Bill Stapp. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son-in-law Bret Shannon Sr.
Funeral service 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville, where friends may visit Tuesday 3:00 to 9:00 PM, and Wednesday 1 hour prior to services. Interment Hollenbeck Cemetery in Columbiaville.
