Forrest "Pat" Delano Brooks
Age 85 of Owosso passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Memorial Healthcare.
A Celebration of Life and Love, for Pat and Rose, will be held from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday June 30, 2019 at D'Mar Banquet Center. There will be a memorial service held at 2:30pm with Reverend Ray Strawser officiating.
Pat was born on August 5, 1933 in Corunna; the son of Fred L. and Bessie E. (Stevens) Brooks.
He graduated from Litchfield High School; Class of 1951 in Arizona and attended Mott Community College.
Pat was a lifetime member of the NRA and a life member of North American Hunting Club. He enjoyed traveling, hunting out west and gunsmithing. Pat loved to talk and enjoyed having conversations with family and friends.
He married Rose Dvorski at St. Cyril Church in Bannister, Michigan on June 2, 1956; she predeceased him on February 21, 2019.
Pat retired from General Motors as a Tool and Die Engineer after 31 years and also worked at Universal Electric for six years.
He is survived by his sons Steven (Diane) Brooks and William (Heather) Brooks; daughters Theresa (Don) Jagos, Danette (Robert) Stanton, Elizabeth Newell and Hether (David) McIntyre; sister Bonnie (Bill) Scheffler; grandchildren Catherine (Nick) Jagos, Donny (Charmaine) Jagos, Kim Jagos, Nathan (Sara) Brooks, Kurt (Sara) Brooks, Aaron (Laura) Ricci, Rich (Stephanie Jones) Perkins, Marcus (Mariah) Perkins, Ross (Tiffani) Stanton, Shaun Stanton, Cheyenne Brooks and Hannah McIntyre; many great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends.
Pat was predeceased by his wife Rose; his parents; sister Ella (Chet) Murdoch and brother Frederick (Sonny) Brooks.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Memorial Healthcare Hospice.
