TOWNSEND, Leora May - Age 93, of Linden, passed away May 18, 2023. Funeral services will be held 1PM Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of your choice. Leora was born November 10, 1929 in Owosso, the daughter of William and Lillian (Mitts) Ogg. She married Thomas H. Townsend on July 13, 1946 in Gaines; he preceded her in death on December 4, 2009. Leora and Thomas were very involved in Honda Goldwing groups for many years. She is survived by her sons, Tom, George, Wilmer (Nancy); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; brother, Lorne (Eleanor) Ogg; sister, Lois (Dennis) Daley. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Henrietta, Kathleen and Betty; siblings, George, Mabel, Shirley and Clova. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
