GRATSCH, Hazel - Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, age 86, of Grand Blanc passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 18, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Born December 17, 1927, to parents Gilbert and Hannah (Amos) Bland, Hazel married Ted Gratsch in 1949. She was active in the Methodist Church and part of a Women’s Bible Study for over 50 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, friend, and homemaker, who always had tins of cookies filled for grandchildren’s visits. For many years Ted and Hazel maintained homes in Grand Blanc and Walloon Lake, making each a welcoming place for family to gather and enjoy time together. She will be sadly missed by husband Ted, of 64 years; children, Carol Boyce, Gary (Judy) Gratsch, Linda (Dave) Lewis, and Paul (Marcia) Gratsch; 8 grandchildren; two brothers, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St. Grand Blanc, MI. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Grand Blanc United Methodist Church, 515 Bush Ave., Grand Blanc, MI., with visitation from 9:00 to the time of service. Pastor Patrick England officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or the Medical Team Hospice . Share your condolences with the family at www.hillfh.com.
