BEASINGER, Joan (Walton) – of Burton, MI, age 74, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, July 31, 2021 at CenterPoint Church, 1225 South Center Road, Burton, MI 48509; Pastor Kyle Bailey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CenterPoint Church, in Joan’s memory.
Joan was born in Boston, MA on April 6, 1947, daughter of the late Joan (Blanchard) Thompson. She met and later married Gary Beasinger on January 1, 1973 in Las Vegas, NV while they both were serving in the U.S. Air Force. Joan earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science. She was passionate about her faith and beliefs, earning an associate degree and was pursuing another bachelor’s degree in biblical studies and ministries. Joan dedicated her life to her family and to her church. She will be deeply missed by all those who have had the pleasure of meeting and knowing her.
Joan is survived by 2 children, David Beasinger and Christine (Steven, Jr.) Haubenstricker; 2 step-children, Belinda Loomis and Larry Beasinger; 12 grandchildren, Ryan, Paul, Jordan, Spencer, Trevor, Tyler (Anjelica), Kaelyn (Justin), Cody (Ceci), Alex, Matthew, Emma and Ella; 3 great-grandchildren, Anjelina, Braelynn and Remmi; 1 brother, Bill (Debbi) Walton; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Beasinger; mother, Joan Thompson and 1 brother, David Walton.
